Our Environment

We occupy a big, sunny room in the Cabbagetown Youth Centre (CYC). The building is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Inside our colourful, airy classroom you will find sand and water tables, a cozy book corner, a fully equipped drama centre and many, many shelves of toys. Several child-sized tables and chairs are set up with a variety of activities and art materials.

In addition, every day the Nursery School has access to a very large gym that is stocked with cars, bikes, balls, blocks, hula hoops, a trampoline and exercise mats.

Every now and then a field trip is scheduled. The trips include such places as the fire hall, the library, the post office, Riverdale Farm, local parks and even the neighbourhood pet store. There is extra parent help for all field trips.
